About Gwendolyn

Gwendolyn Noriega is a self-taught oil painter and illustrator based in Houston, Texas. Her work draws inspiration from the techniques of the Old Masters while incorporating contemporary subject matter. In addition to her fine art practice, she creates custom pet portraits.

Noriega has participated in numerous group exhibitions over the past two years, including earning First Place in the Student Juried Show at Lone Star College in 2024. Her work was also published in the Fall 2025 edition of SWIRL magazine. She has studied and exhibited work through the Glassell School of Art at the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, where she currently takes classes and continues her practice.
